WHAT IS C.O.V.E.?
Your kind donation will support some fantastic community projects under Collective Oratory Voices for Excellence (C.O.V.E.) guidelines. C.O.V.E. is a contemporary methodology of training young adults through therapeutic theater. Built on an evangelical core, Holter combines medicinal Eastern ideologies for self evaluation with practical skills training in communications to create tangible, historical edutainment.
.
C.O.V.E. is a system of guided self-help education created by author/activist/minister Jessica Holter in 2009 and was put into practice through our theater internship program at S.E.T. a community supported HIV AIDS awareness initiative commonly called "The Punany Poets." Compared to Augusto Boal's "Theater of the Oppressed," Holter's eclectic tapestry of creative storytelling is fodder for both critic and intellectual. (See Monroe, & LaMara, Raquel. (2020). "Representin' the forbidden" : the Punany Poets, black female sexuality, and HIV and performance /. Thesis (Ph. D.)--UCLA, 2006. Vita. Includes bibliographical references (leaves 214-224).)
.
Now, fully formed in 2020, C.O.V.E., will soon be available as part of the H.I.P. library of literature, music, video, scripts, programs, policies, forms and facts to be used under various creative commons licenses to our members, who may want to help people in their own communities.

WHY SHOULD I HELP?
You may be one of those good people. Perhaps you understand that hurt people, hurt people, or you want to help people, help people. Maybe you are an artist who would like to donate art to a set, or an art store who wants to donate supplies to an artist who is building a set. Or perhaps you just want to make a movie with us, get production credits. Maybe you were a foster child, like Jessica Holter was, and you just want to give back, because you know, better than anyone, it takes a village to raise a child.
.
OK, YOU ARE RIGHT. WHAT CAN I HELP WITH?
We are glad you asked Friend! We want you to become part of a unique opportunity to help people who will make you proud; people who will make you feel great love and joy when they change you from spectator to witness, toasting in the moment of their great awakenings on film. We welcome sister organizations philanthropists, artists, activists, teachers and speakers as well as video and music entertainment professionals to join us in our C.O.V.E.  Find a cozy spot in Dwayne Wiggins'  Mind Seed Studio to create a magical film score with West Wind, Butta, the Bay Area's quintessential variety show producer who started working professionally at 19, and musician Louis, who came to this country and raised himself from the age of 13. Oh, yes! The people already involved in this movement for self-efficacy are astounding and are bravely looking forward to beginning a series of documentaries, books, and audio Worldwide distribution.
